AG D&F in Rotterdam
On Friday 21 June, a group of AG D&F members travelled by train to Rotterdam. In the morning they were shown a beautiful selection of architectural drawings at Het Nieuwe Instituut, the museum for architecture, design and digital culture and state archive for Dutch architecture and urban planning. Curator Alfred Marks made a beautiful selection of sketches, inspirational drawings, and fully worked out architectural designs.
In the afternoon, Peter van der Coelen, curator of prints at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, gave us a private tour of the exhibition: The Dizzying Imagination of Piranesi, which he made for the Kunsthal in Rotterdam. The group had lively discussions in front of the beautifully selected Carceri, Vedute and Antiquitates.
